JUNE 7, 2013 – WALKING THROUGH SHADOWS – I woke up in the middle of the night and I could not fall back to sleep. So, I pondered these words, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death”. We walk through many shadows throughout our lifetime. Death does not just mean ‘physical death’. I personally believe that the Lord means any type of darkness that brings pain to your soul. Your soul is – your mind, your will, and your emotions. (Your Spirit is what lives eternally) A friend of mine is walking through a shadow because her daughter is choosing to use drugs. A family member of mine is facing false accusations and the shadow that he has to deal with is very dark, until he is proven innocent. I am walking through my own personal shadows. We each face shadows, but here’s the thing – we are only walking through them. The rest of Psalm 23:4 says – I will fear no evil; for You are with me; your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. (NKJ) Light creates shadows – Ponder that one!
