JUNE 9, 2013 – YOUR SYSTEM – Do you actually think that you can get something “Out of your system”? Leo and I were just talking about addictions. A friend of ours had been off drugs for a month but she went on a 24 hr binge, and then sought help again. I told Leo, “She probably thought: Just this one last time; to get it out of my system.” We can’t get anything ‘out of our system’ because a part of our system is our flesh, and we will always live in our flesh until the day that we die. And what we want to ‘get out’ is sin, and we will be sinners until the day that we die. The only way to get out, is to get in – get in to a very powerful relationship! The more that we allow Jesus Christ to get in to us, the more that our lives will reflect Him; instead of reflecting human fleshly desires. Colossians 3:8-10 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him (NKJ)
