TAKING A MOMENT

JUNE 27, 2013 – YOUR MANSION – Have you ever given much thought to your mansion; the mansion that the Lord is preparing just for you? When I was in Virginia last week preparing for my daughter’s wedding we stayed at a very beautiful, very large home. I did my devotions out on the deck, as I watched squirrels eating out of a bird feeder. I watched rabbits pouncing on the squirrels chasing them away. All the while, the birds were looking longingly at their bird feeder! I would then go into the living room and turn on the worship music. Every morning I thought, “I can’t wait! I can’t wait to get my very own mansion; prepared by Jesus, just for me!” It’s for real – If you have given your life to the Lord, you get one too! Leo told me that many Bible scholars believe that ‘mansion’ actually means our new body in heaven. I told him, “That’s good and all, but I am still getting a real mansion!” John 14:2 “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”
