TAKING A MOMENT

JUNE 28, 2013 – HE SATISFIES – You know how when you are really hungry, so much so that your stomach growls, you then eat, and your tummy is completely satisfied? I know, weird illustration, but it helps explain ‘being satisfied’. You are filled. You no longer hunger. A friend of mine recently shared that they have not been satisfied for years. My heart broke when I heard these words, but we do all go through times of dissatisfaction…in Christ, this should not be so.  The Lord brought me to a place years ago where He truly taught me how He, and He alone, completely satisfies. If I could give anything to my friend, it would be the gift of being satisfied, no matter what. The Lord satisfies in loneliness. The Lord satisfies in financial loss. The Lord satisfies in illness. The Lord satisfies in the darkness. The Lord ALWAYS satisfies. And here’s the craziest thing – we learn how the Lord completely satisfies when we are walking in dissatisfaction.  I pray that if you are dissatisfied, it will only be for a short time. JESUS fulfills every single longing that our human heart has…I promise, because HE PROMISES! Psalms 145:16-19 You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; he also will hear their cry and save them.
