JUNE 30, 2013 – THE SNAKE IS THERE – Has the fact that there are snakes outside, in the places that you work, or places that you enjoy being at, stopped you from being there? I love running down to the creek and spending time with the Lord, but there is one little complication – the snake is there! It’s almost always there. It hangs out between the exact same rocks, as the water flows through the creek, almost every day. Just because the snake is there does not mean that God is not there, and just because the snake is there does not mean that God does not want me there. Do you realize that the snake was in the Garden of Eden? Adam and Eve were exactly where God wanted them but the snake was there. Do you realize that in the Garden of Gethsemane the Son of Man was betrayed into the hands of sinners? (Matt. 26:45) Christ was exactly where God wanted Him but the snake was there. Just because the snake might be hanging out in a specific place in your life (your spiritual garden) does not mean that it’s not from God. In fact, because the snake is there, could be a very good indication that it is from God! Genesis 2:8 The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.(NKJ)
