JULY 2, 2013 – DON’T CRUMBLE – What happens when you crush a cookie? Pressure is applied and the cookie crumbles. I recently told a very good friend of mine that the Lord has taught me one very particular thing about myself, concerning a certain situation in my life this past year. The Lord has taught/shown me that I am one tough cookie, because of Him! It’s so easy for us to crumble under the pressures of life sometimes. It’s so easy for us to walk in our flesh, curl up in a corner, and just give up, but don’t! Don’t crumble under the pressure. Whether you are facing pressures on the job, in your home, in your relationships, i.e., wherever the pressure is coming from, walk in the confidence of Christ. Your identity is in Christ and He will hold you together. We can all be one tough cookie because Jesus Christ is our special ingredient – He keeps us from crumbling! Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. (NKJ)
