JULY 7, 2013 – THE REAL MUSIC – Some people like Christian music, a lot of people around here like country, others rock n’ roll, some hip-hop, and still others like the blues….but the Real Music, in my opinion, is the best music. I was sitting on top of the picnic table yesterday morning. Leo opened up the door and asked, “How are you doing?” I said, “I’m listening to the real music!” He said, “What music?” and I said, “Yea, the real music! Listen, to the birds singing and the wind blowing through the trees. Listen to the rooster crowing. All of this is real music!” He then asked, “Did you hear the real music of the dog in the middle of the night?”….it was funny; had to be there! It’s so easy for us to drown out the real music by the things of this world. So many people get up in the morning and immediately the T.V. is turned on, or the radio, or the computer/facebook. People spend hours upon hours of their time on these things. Take the time to listen to the real music – God’s creation – because in His creation, He speaks volumes! Psalms 65:11-13 You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance. They drop on the pastures of the wilderness, and the little hills rejoice on every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered with grain; they shout for joy, they also sing. (NKJ)
