JULY 16, 2013 – OVER AND OVER AGAIN – Those words “over and over again” were crossing my mind all day today because, once again, I was shampooing carpets at work. I have to go over a small area, over and over again, until the water is clear; there are no shortcuts. I cannot move on to another area until that area is completely finished. Do you realize that the Lord will deal with you on a specific thing, over and over again, until you get it? He often will not move on until He has finished the work that needs to be done in that area of your life. Sometimes we just don’t “get it” and by not “getting it” we are prolonging the next step that the Lord would have us take. Maybe your faith is small – Jesus is going to go over that area in your life, over and over again, until your faith grows and you get it! Maybe you do not trust Him completely in a certain area of your life – Jesus is going to make sure that you do, even if He has to deal with you over and over again, before He takes you to the next place in your walk with Him. Psalms 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way. (NAS)
