AUGUST 6, 2013 – GETTING THINGS IN ORDER – What do you do when you know someone is coming to your home? Krystal is coming home Thursday night and she has not been home since Christmas. Anyone that knows me well knows that I will get everything in order for her arrival. The house must be clean. She will have special soaps in her bathtub. There will be a scented candle in her room, plus a Glade Plug-In that will make her room smell like heaven. Actually, it will smell like ‘Sunny Days’ if I can find that scent; her favorite one! I just groomed Sparky, her poodle, so that she can give him lots of hugs. And her favorite foods will be at her fingertips. Guess who is coming to your home soon? JESUS CHRIST is coming back and we must get things in order for His arrival. What needs to get in order? Our life! Since I rededicated my life to the Lord eighteen years ago I have been getting things in order for Him in my life. It’s not about obeying rules but it’s about falling passionately in love with Him, and having a deep desire to please Him. The first order of business must be loving Him! Because it is in love, and through love, that we wholly follow Him! Matthew 22:37-38 Jesus said to him,” ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ “This is the first and great commandment. (NKJ)
