AUGUST 14, 2013 – STIRRED UP – Have you ever put much thought into stirring something? Probably not, but for a moment, please do. I just stirred some sugar into my coffee and it changed the taste of everything. We stir different sauces/foods in pots that are placed on top of heat, in order that they will not be burned. This morning in my devo time with the Lord, He took me to some interesting places in His Word. He started me in Psalm 88. I said to Him, “Oh that’s just great Lord. That was sure a comforting chapter.” ….I was meaning the complete opposite and He knew it. Then He took me to Lamentations 3, and to top it off He continued to lead me to Psalm 35! One main thing that He was continually showing me throughout these chapters can be summed up in these verses – Psalms 35:22-24a This You have seen, O LORD; do not keep silence. O Lord, do not be far from me. STIR UP YOURSELF, and awake to my vindication, to my cause, my God and my Lord. Vindicate me, O LORD my God, according to Your righteousness (NKJ) The Lord sees everything that is taking place in your life. The Lord gets stirred up on your behalf (v. 23)! He changes everything! He will not allow you to get burned! According to His righteousness we are vindicated!
