SEPTEMBER 17, 2013 – CHARGE YOURSELF UP – How many devices have you charged up this week? What about a cell phone, an MP3 Player, or a laptop? We charge devices up in order that they will have energy and not die. How about you – do you feel charged up? This morning as I was driving to work a slow, worshipful song came on K-Love. It was nice but I thought, “I need something to charge me up!” So, I put in a CD and listened to ‘Today is the Day’ by Lincoln Brewster. By the time I drove up to the school, I had my groove on! You see, when I clock in at 5:30 a.m. I have to hit the floor running. In a two hour time span I clean fourteen classrooms and five restrooms, which add up to twenty toilets! If I choose to walk into work draggin’, it’s going to make for a long, boring morning. But if I choose to walk into work all charged up, then I can’t help but to smile! Jesus is always the One that will charge us up but we have to take responsibility too. Charge yourself up – You have every reason to! Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
