SEPTEMBER 20, 2013 – A PLACE OF QUESTIONING – Have you ever said these words to the Lord, “How can this be” concerning a certain situation in your life? If so, you are in good company. Mary, the mother of Jesus, said this. Luke 1:34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” (NKJ) Mary was told God’s plan for her life, which brought her immediately to a place of questioning – How can this be? And she immediately received her answer! Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you;” (NKJ) Mary was about to face great controversy in her life because of God’s plan. Joseph was not pleased at all when she told him, and just imagine what her family and the people in her church must have thought of her. But the Holy Spirit came upon her and the power of the Highest overshadowed her, therefore, Mary accepted God’s plan. Luke 1:37-38 “For with God nothing will be impossible.” Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. (NKJ) Maybe you are at a place of questioning, concerning God’s plan – How can this be Lord – By His Holy Spirit coming upon you and by the power of the Highest! Accept God’s Plan!
