OCTOBER 21, 2013 – ROCKY ROAD – What do you do when opposition comes your way? Do you just give up and quit or do you grit your teeth and continue to move forward? When Leo and I moved here from Florida to plant a church, within our first year of ministry we were faced with great opposition. Our pastor from Florida told us – “That’s great! I would be concerned if nothing was going wrong. When you step out in faith and begin to do the work of the Lord, you will face opposition.” When God calls you to do something, you may travel down a rocky road, but keep traveling; don’t quit! So what if you get a few bumps and bruises along the rocky road….its good for you! Toughens you up! “The greater the test – the greater the testimony! The greater the mess – the greater the message!” (quote from pastor jentezen franklin) 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed– always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.
