NOVEMBER 8, 2013 – THERE WILL BE THOSE – You do realize that there will be those in this world who may not like you. In fact, at times, we may even have those who might mistreat us. So, what do you do? Check out what King David did: 2 Samuel 16:12-13 “It may be that the LORD will look on my affliction, and that the LORD will repay me with good for his cursing this day.” And as David and his men went along the road, Shimei went along the hillside opposite him and cursed as he went, threw stones at him and kicked up dust. (NKJ) There will be those that will come against us in this lifetime, but King David set a great example for us to follow. He told his men to leave the man alone that was cursing him (v.11). Affliction falls upon us when others are against us, but the Lord sees everything! Do as David did, and leave that person alone. The Lord just might repay you with good! Romans 12:17-18 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. (NKJ)
