NOVEMBER 20, 2013 – GO AND STAY – Do you enjoy sitting in traffic? You know exactly where you are going to end up, but sometimes it just takes longer to get there than expected. God told Abraham & Sarah to go to a place of promise, and they did go, but they didn’t always stay at that place of promise. Once, a famine hit the land and they traveled down to Egypt (Genesis 12:10). Another time, Sarah got tired of waiting on the promise and told Abraham to lay with her maidservant (Genesis 16:2) No matter what your eyes are seeing – A famine in the land. A barren valley that you have to walk through – Go to that place of promise and stay there! Do not stray from what God has spoken to you. God always does what He says that He will do, in His set time! Genesis 21:1-2 And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. (NKJ)
