NOVEMBER 24, 2013 – WHEN IT REALLY HURTS – Have you ever been deeply hurt by a friend? As we walk through this life, as we walk hand in hand with those closest to us, hurts happen; it’s a given. Psalms 55:12-14 For it is not an enemy who reproaches me; then I could bear it. Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me; then I could hide from him. But it was you, a man my equal, my companion and my acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, and walked to the house of God in the throng. (NKJ) Being a pastor’s wife for ten years, the Lord blessed me with the fellowship of a lot of people. Through those ten years, hundreds of people came in and out, to the house of God. Psalms 55:12-14 is a reality of life and that’s why it’s in The Word of God. I witnessed the enemy take a foothold in the relationship of friendships that walked together to the house of God. In the same way that the enemy is out to devour marriages/families, the enemy is out to devour those of us that walk together to the house of God. If the enemy can tear apart those within the house of God, he can tear down the process of us affecting the world for Christ.
