NOVEMBER 27, 2013 – THE HEART MATTERS – The heart changes everything, even when it comes to sin. How can I say that? Everyone that has ever been born, except for Jesus, is a sinner. Is everyone going to hell? No! The sinners that have given their ‘hearts’ to the Lord will spend eternity with Him in Heaven. The matters of the heart, matter to God! Maybe you know someone who has messed up and made mistakes. Before you cast judgment upon them, before you sentence them in your own mind, if you do not know the matters of their heart, your judgment could actually be false. How did Jesus judge, and what sentence did He cast upon, the woman who was caught in adultery? In man’s eyes, and according to the law at that time, she should have been put to death – But Jesus – knew something about her that no one else did. He knew the matters of her heart. Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart– these, O God, You will not despise. (NKJ)
