TAKING A MOMENT

JANUARY 20, 2014 – PAINFUL PURPOSES – Do you realize that ‘pain’ comes with a specific purpose? Do you realize that the pain you may be experiencing now may be preparing you for even greater pain in your future? Before you stop reading from what seems to be a bummer of a devotional, listen up – Often times, as your platform gets bigger, as God calls you to even greater things, the pain that you will have to walk through will increase. Take the prophet Jeremiah for example,  his life was full of pain, but at the same time, his life was full of purpose; the purposes of God! Great opposition will often escalate with God-given opportunities. God puts to use what He puts us through, always! Seek Him today. Find the purpose in your pain. Know that the Lord is making you strong and He has destined you for great and mighty things! Jeremiah 15:18-19 Why is my pain perpetual And my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Will You surely be to me like an unreliable stream, as waters that fail? Therefore thus says the Lord:“If you return, then I will bring you back; you shall stand before Me; If you take out the precious from the vile,you shall be as My mouth. Let them return to you, but you must not return to them.
