FEBRUARY 7, 2014 – Florida Altar – Have you ever built an altar? Tomorrow morning I am going to set up a new altar for my worship time; my own special place with Jesus! Setting aside special time with the Lord is so very important for each of us to do. Make your time with Him special. Go out of your way to show Him just how special He really is. Make your very own holy altar to your God! Make it private – make it personal. In the O.T. we see the men of God setting up altars as they traveled. As we travel along in our lives, we also need to set up special altars unto our Lord. Genesis 12:7 Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him.
FEBRUARY 8, 2014 – MAKE HIM SPECIAL – Do you agree that ‘life gets busy’? We have all heard it said ‘slow down and smell the roses’ but I say to you today ‘Slow down and make Him special’! This morning I unpacked my spiritual box from Texas; a physical box, filled with spiritual memories. As I was taking out each item I realized the impact that this must have on The Lord. You see, I have never thought about it in those terms before. I mean, everything in the box are things that I have saved to continue to build my faith. A ziplock bag full of broken chains that 21 women took part in. Butter from the I.C.U. when Krystal was hooked up to a respirator. A ziplock bag full of ashes from a page of confirmations that I burnt at The Altar. …and much, much more! As I was building my new Florida Altar this morning I knew that I was making the Lord feel special! He is the most ‘Special One’ of all time. So, make sure that you make Him special! Matthew 26:7, 10 – A woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table. v. 10…But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them,“Why do you trouble the woman?
